Job Description

Payments analyst is responsible for protecting both the company and clients by focusing on assisting our clients and co-

workers via email and verifying any documents submitted. The main focus is to work to ensure payout processing time frame is achieved in a timely manner.


Assist in completion of daily risk management and payments tasks such as (but not limited to)

  • Explaining and enforcing policies and procedures via email and phone
  • New Account Verification
  • Payments Verification process
  • Reconciliation of payments / providers
  • Daily Reports (Suspicious account and transaction reporting, etc.)
  • Real-time account verification
  • Handles communication and escalates issues with providers
  • Internal inquiries from the other departments with regard to account details
  • Supports CS inquires related to payments process and issues
  • Reports and assists in investigating suspicious / fraudulent accounts
  • Responds in a timely manner to email inquiries according to internal procedures and policies
  • Receives, records, tracks and maintain department specific files (documentation)
  • Obtains a working understanding of various tools and software utilized within the department
  • Understands the internal operational structure fluently
  • Liaises and builds close relationship with other departments to assist with customer inquiries
  • Continues to acquire knowledge about the company and the different financial transactions that take place
  • Performs any miscellaneous related duties as assigned
  • Requirements

  • 6 months experience in Customer Services; or, Financial Services
  • Third party verification and risk management solutions experience, an asset
  • Exceptional organization and multi-tasking skills combined with a professional work ethic
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict in a professional and mature manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Prior experience in settlements / operations in online banking would be an advantage
  • Excellence in numbers, analytics, structured processes
  • Ability to handle escalated situations with ease and professionalism
  • Strong listening and comprehension skills
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team
  • Must have a flexible schedule
  • Proven ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality with regards to client situations
  • Ability to adapt in an constant changing environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (specifically Excel) and overall information Technology affinity
  • Intermediate level of English (indispensable)
  • Portuguese is a plus
  • Ability to work in Zonamerica*
