The Assistant / Associate Buyer is responsible for driving sales, margin, turn, and growth across total Shapermint and supporting total company objectives.
This position will support the Merchandise Manager in developing and executing a strategic vision with a customer-centric focused approach while delivering on financial objectives.
The Assistant / Associate Buyer is responsible for curating the product assortment and negotiation of merchandise / discounts / payment terms for sustainable growth.
The Assistant / Associate Buyer must partner with cross-functional teams (i.e. planning & marketing) to develop strategies to maximize business opportunities.
Develop and execute assortment plans for our private label and third party brands.
Establish, develop, and sustain strong vendor relationships.
Partner with cross-functional teams to drive our private label and third party brand sales (Purchasing Assistants, Planning, Retention / Loyalty, Acquisition, Operations, Creative and Design, IT, SEO, Research and Video Production).
i.e. Work with planning to develop and execute sales plans for categories and vendors, as well as partnering with marketing to drive marketing initiatives and promotional strategies.
Communicate with vendors to ensure timely collection of MDA, markdowns, and RTVs and partner with Merchandise Manager / Planning team to align for in-season targets.
Monitor competition and industry trends.
Entry and manage all the purchases to ensure POs are accurate, shipments arrive on time and products start selling after 2 days post warehouse arrival.
Strategize to continually improve our NPS, product ratings and all key lead and result from KPIs.
Aid in defining quarterly, monthly and weekly OKRs for our private label and third brands aligned to whole company main OKRs and priorities.
Support Merchandise Manager to drive $10M in sales for 2019 with our private label and third party brands by making purchasing decisions to satisfy customer demand.
Manage Samples & Photoshooting process to ensure new products start selling after 2 days post warehouse arrival.
Aid in monitoring / updating Product Pages in conjunction with Production team through providing updated copy descriptions, compression levels, and size charts.
Increase Third Brand Sales Share to +20%
Manage and continually improve our current product assortment for Co’coon, Bali, Maidenform, Miraclesuit, TC, Wacoal, Commando, Squeem; +100 curated styles.
Acquire and onboard new strategic vendor relationships within shapewear, bras, and leggings assortment; +100 additional curated styles.
Product Rating of +3.5 stars on average.
Improve Negotiation & Terms
Negotiated Markup of 2.5
Payment terms of 90 days / Consignment
Shared discounts for at least 10 Special Events including Black Friday, Cyber Monday, etc.
4 Turnover on average and products start selling 2days post warehouse arrival (all relevant information is listed on the site with correct inventory).
